Pop Art- a style of modern art that began in the 1960s and used familiar images such as advertisements as its subjects. It's history began in mid- 1950-s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the USA. In America at that time (late 1950) was considered fashionable abstract expressionism. Abstract artists often do not even have a name invented for his work, simply by numbering them or referred to them as the first phrase that came to mind.
Pop art was created outside the norms, patterns and traditions, in any manner and in any material. Artist could borrow motifs and images from advertising, fashion magazine, comics - banal and tasteless.
